Halloween Cooking Class Replay
In the spirit of the fall season, we wanted to share the replay of our very first Virtual Cooking Class along with the recipes. Our Halloween Sweets & Treats Cooking Class featured celebrity pastry chef Dwayne Ingraham teaching us how to make a simply perfect iced butter cookie and a flavored milk to pair with it.
About EATYALL Cooking Classes
Last October, EATYALL hosted our first virtual cooking class, and boy have they been a hit. Chefs are calling in asking for the opportunity to host classes, and our list has grown and grown of folks who want to attend. We, on the other hand, feel we’ve gotten way better at hosting these classes. It’s kinda funny to re-watch the recording of this first class, because our production has improved so much over the past year! But, the content of this class is too good not to re-share.
Iced Butter Cookies & Flavored Milk Recipes
Who knew there were so many small adjustments you could make to perfect a standard butter cookie? Who knew the secrets to dipping cookies into icing to “cheat” your way to a beautiful and festive cookie cutout? Yep, you’ll learn how in this video replay. You’ll even learn how to get a beautiful marbling look on your iced cookies and best of all, how to make a yummy flavored milk to pair WITH your cookies! This cooking class video replay will share those tips with you.
Dairy is the star ingredient in these recipes from the tiny bit of milk that makes the cookies have the perfect texture to the butter that makes the cookies rich and balances out the sweetness of the icing to the creamy sweet milk that you just have to have in your hand when you take your first bite. We loved working with The Dairy Alliance to produce this class that gave a leading chef an opportunity to explore new ways to incorporate dairy into his menus, while giving all the rest of us the opportunity to learn from him!

Cookie Recipe Ingredients List:
3 cups All Purpose Flour
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon iodized salt
2 sticks unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
1 cup sugar
¼ cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Cream butter and sugar together until light. Add milk, eggs and vanilla and mix until smooth. Sift together dry ingredients and add to butter mixture slowly until well blended. Follow instructions on cooking class video to roll and bake cookies.
Flavored Milk Ingredients List:
1 cup milk
1 cup sugar
1 tbsp vanilla paste or extract
1 shot Kahlua (optional for adults only)

Cooking Class Teacher: Pastry Chef Dwayne Ingraham
Named Best Baker in America, pastry chef Dwayne Ingraham is Chopped Sweets Season 2 Winner (2020) among many other accolades! Chef Dwayne was recently named Executive Pastry Chef at Odette in Florence, Alabama.
Originally from Boothville, Louisiana, Chef Dwayne was born into a family of Southern cooks. He received his formal education from New England Culinary Institute in Vermont in Baking and Pastry Arts. He later honed his pastry and plating skills at The Ritz Carlton in Sarasota, Florida before moving to Las Vegas. With positions at The MGM Grand and Wynn, Dwayne was able to perfect his kitchen speed and technique in volume production.
In 2012, he was honored as one of FOOD & WINE magazine’s People’s Best New Pastry Chefs and in 2015, he won Food Network’s Cutthroat Kitchen: Alton and the Chocolate Factory. He later followed up his win as a finalist on Food Network’s Spring Baking Championship. In 2016, he competed in Cutthroat Kitchen’s 50’s Time Warp Tournament and won People’s Choice Best Dessert at Sweetest Chefs hosted by EATYALL. In the fall of 2017, he won the premier season and title of BEST BAKER IN AMERICA. In 2019, he served as Guest Judge on Food Network’s Christmas Cookie Challenge. His accolades have been published in a variety of print and online publications, most recently Southern Living magazine.
