Samantha McLeod Shares the Story of Georgia Pecans Emphasizing Why Sampling and Farm Storytelling Never Fail to Be Effective

Samantha McLeod joins EATYALL Podcast host Andy Chapman in Episode #41. Together they dive into the world of agricultural food promotions. Samantha McLeod is the Executive Director of the Georgia Pecan Growers Association, and their conversation unfurls a lot of pecan specific stories about why those pecans from Georgia are so flavorful and sold at such a premium — “all nuts are not created equal.” We also learn from Samantha about what product sampling can look like, even during a pandemic because “taste buds don’t lie.” She also talked about an international visit when she learned that some chefs around the world aren’t versed on pecans and how they initially confused them with other nuts.
