Olde Virden’s Red Hot Sprinkle is the brainchild of Chris Virden. The idea came to him while operating a hike-in lodge, on top of Mt. LeConte in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, with his wife, Allyson. He felt there needed to be a better option for pizza than the generic red pepper flake that is found in every pizza restaurant in America. So, Chris set off on a mission to create a perfect blend of five different chili peppers.
Some ways restaurants are currently using Olde Virden’s: sausage, masa for tamales, grits, pizza sauce, chili, corn and roasted peach salad and many more. Recipe Ideas
