Eat Y’all debuts its brand new podcast that explores the intricacies of success in the Southern food business from farm to table.

{ Listen up, Y’all }

Eat Y’all launched its newest addition to the media lineup: a podcast. In addition to a website and monthly online magazine, the podcast will offer another avenue for listeners to connect more deeply with those building a food business.

The company’s mission is to help Southern farmers and makers build sustainable legacies by connecting them with chefs and food lovers everywhere. The path to success is never a straight line, especially in the food and farming business. The Eat Y’all Podcast will share stories and advice from these journeys through a series of interviews with players who bring the best Southern grown and made ingredients to our tables.

{ Season One }

The food and hospitality industry can be unforgiving, but for those who have the talent and passion to persevere, the rewards cannot be measured in dollars and cents.

In our first season, Andy Chapman sits down with Chef Caleb Fischer from ACRE in Auburn, Alabama to discuss his “school of hard knocks” culinary education, personal mistakes and recovery, a healthy work environment and the upcoming opening of Bow & Arrow, a new concept by Chef David Bancroft that he will help lead.

Chapman also interviews Chef Jana Billiot, Chef de Cuisine of Restaurant R’evolution in New Orleans, Louisiana to discuss her rise to the top of the New Orleans food scene.

The industry of opportunity is profiled from a different angle when Chapman speaks with Jackson, Mississippi restaurateur Jeff Good to learn about the upcoming opening of Refill Cafe, a social enterprise that will serve the community good food – and new opportunities.

Finally, we wrap up our first season with a field trip to The Boucherie hosted by Chef John Folse at his White Oak Plantation near Baton Rouge, Louisiana. You’ll hear the sounds of the event and interviews with chefs and farmers participating in the event, including Chef Folse.
